The Last Sweep Before Midnight

Bramble was given one simple job at That bakons’ After Hours celebration: clear the path before the guests arrive. With his tiny broom and very serious golden eyes, he starts at the front steps. Autumn leaves, however, have other plans, gathering in every corner of the lane.

Rather than chase them away, Bramble arranges them into arrows that wind past candlelit windows and lead to the garden gate. The path becomes part of the celebration, a small adventure before the first sweet. He finishes just before midnight, with one leaf tucked proudly into his hat.
